Father's Day
03:19
|
|||
Surrounded by leaves, leaves shaped like hearts.
Took me back nine months to where my new journey starts.
And ever since that reading I've been dealing with the feeling
of you watching but not being here with me.
And I currently don't know where I am.
I've gotten way too good at pretending that I'm okay.
I've gotten way too fucking good at pretending that I'm okay.
When I feel that pit in the center of my stomach,
It's still hard to comprehend.
Replay it over again, as my heart starts to plummet
and my soul begins to bend.
And I'll be alright when this feeling subsides.
At least I'm not alone, I got my best friends by my side.
We were somewhere between Toledo and Northeastern Indiana
When we stopped to rest the night that Father's Day.

Searching
03:41
|
|||
All it takes is the quiet to make you think.
To put life into a perspective blink.
To realize that once we start to live we start to die,
And everything beyond that point is just nonsense we use to kill time while we're here.
Searching for a purpose,
No one really knows.
But we all know we're gonna get fucked in the end
Because that's just how it goes.
There's gotta be a reason for all of this.
There's gotta be a point for us to exist.
We gotta find a way to break out from that common line,
Because everything beyond that point is just nonsense we use to kill time while we're here.
Searching for a purpose,
No one really knows.
But we all know we're gonna get fucked in the end
Because that's just how it goes.

Temptation
05:05

She's a ghost in the night,
Waiting to see if you will
Give it a try,
Holding onto everything you
Thought you know,
Give into temptation,
But that's not the way that it goes.
There she goes.
The sweetest little thing.
You could never guess
All the sickness that she'll bring.
And all that you wanted in that moment
Was taken from you because she prays on innoncence.
And I'll show you that
There's so much that you don't know.
She's the type of the girl who
Comes from places you don't go.
And she'll help you find the way
But I say run away, run away, run away.
There you go.
You're following her blindly in the dark.
Not knowing any better, but this is where it starts.
And I'll say it again, heed this word
It's about to take a turn for the worst.
"Take my hand," she said.
"I know you will."
You'll try to resist, but the temptation will kill
And you'll finally see the evil in her kiss,
then you're hooked with no way of turning back.
"Take my hand."

In the wake of the setting sun,
She'll dream and dream about the
Endless possibilities,
Trying to find what to believe in.
From the start, to understand,
=The path to knowing, and
There's only one way to know the truth.
And as the sun, as the sun goes down,
Searching blindly through the dark, she sees him.
She see's a man that she knows she's always been warned of,
And then starts to run.
Here he comes, here he comes.
It's all in his master plan.
Riding in the back,
waiting to begin.
By now, she's tried so hard.
And now, now she says,
"I think I'm losing my mind.
I'm not gonna let it in, let it win this time.
Take it back, take it back,
What you've read, what you've said.
I won't let it win this time."
And as the sun, as the sun comes up,
She'll find a place to call their home.
Until the time that she realized,
She was never alone.
So who are you to stand in my way,
Withholding tragedies?
So tell me this one last time,
How do you know I'm wrong?
